Mike Slesnick

Dr. Michael Slesnick is the founder and president of AsteraTM Communications. He believes that precision communication is the missing skill set without which success is unlikely and patient care suffers. Astera's mission is to correct this deficiency.

Michael received his dental education at the University of the Pacific, San Francisco, and practiced general dentistry with an emphasis on endodontics for many years. He also served as the president of a multi-office group practice in New England, where he learned first-hand the challenges of developing superior dentists.

As a clinical assistant professor at Boston University, he developed and taught BU’s first communication curriculum. He’s also provided one-on-one instruction in advanced communication skills to dentists in a group practice setting.

He lives in rural Vermont with his wife Cherie. They have four children and three grandchildren.
